Job Title: Software Engineer (Python Development)

Location: Milpitas, CA

Duration: 12+ months contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role requires Conversion of JMP Scritps to Python based application.

Candidate should be able to gather requirements from Systems Engineers, understand the extensive JMP code and convert them to Python that meets required performance specifications.

The candidate should have solid fundamentals in math and be able to analyze large sets of data, perform modeling, design and develop highly optimized software that runs reliably in a fully automated production environment.

Qualifications

Extensive Experience in software design and development using both JMP and Python on Windows Operating system.

Extensive experience in using JMP, Python scripting language. Good knowledge of Math and Visual Basic Scripting language a plus. Good exposure to Excel Macro is required.

Exposure to Software Configuration Management tools such as Rational Team Concert. Familiar delivering software work products.

Must have excellent communication skills, inter personnel skills and must be a self-motivated learner.

Required to work on all aspects of Software development such as writing technical / software requirements, design documents and User manual during the project implementation.

Requires extensive cross functional group interactions. Should be able to work independently with Systems Engineers, gather requirements and translate into Software requirements, design and code.

Familiarity of semiconductor industry is a big plus but not absolute requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s (5+ years) / Master's (3+ years) Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
