Education: Bachelor's degree or higher. A portion of the contract lead instructor’s academic preparation must be relevant and applicable to the subject matter taught.
Training and Experience: Experienced (three to four years) Instructor / Instructor Supervisor in BA or special operations community, and at least 10 years of BA or special operator experience with similar competencies (e.g. USA Special Forces, USN SEAL, and USN Special Boat Operator).
Contractor personnel must have either retired or separated respective community in good standing with a minimum of an Honorable Discharge.
BA or SOF operator experience is critical to the credibility of the contract lead instructor.
Practices Quality ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
General Skills: Must be able to work as part of a cross-functional team, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks. Proven ability to provide liaison activities with customers, course writers, and management teams. Broad capabilities knowledge to ensure ability to screen assignments for unusual or difficult problems and select techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance: Must currently possess a security clearance of “Secret” or above.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute, deliver, and instruct the Battlefield Airman instructor development curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans and training aids and present academic, laboratory and operational lessons.
Ensure all training is conducted IAW DoD and AF established policies and procedures.
Attend meetings and provide updates as required.
Make recommendations to Contract Lead Instructor on matters relating to efficient and effective operations of the training program.
Provide support and subject-matter expertise as requested to proposal activities development/engineering efforts, business development or marketing requirements, and device acceptance and testing activities.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Travel: 10 - 20% to supported sites, training events/conferences, and company offices as required.
