Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Training and Experience: Prior experience with government range scheduling processes and computer systems. Must possess knowledge on range spaces that require additional coordination with range owners. Must have experience utilizing/operating and scheduling functions within the Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE) web-based program. Must have experience, and understanding of the Eglin range hierarchy, specialty language, range priorities, key personnel and EAFB I 13-204 in order to operate successfully as a standalone scheduler responsible for all aspects of Eglin range mission scheduling.
Desired Experience: Prior work experience with Eglin range management office and 96th Range Group is highly desired.
General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, a self-starter, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision.
Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Security Clearance:Must currently possess a security clearance of Secret or above.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for scheduling training range spaces, classroom spaces, medical coverage, training locations, and logistical requirements for all courses taught within the squadron. Create scheduling products, prepare briefings, and attend meetings as required. Coordinate with external agencies and de-conflict scheduling activities in support of all courses as directed by the 371 SOCTS Commander. Prepare range utilization reports and track range training effectiveness. Required to interpolate the data into a product to demonstrate scheduling & utilization effectiveness.
Prepare weekly reports and track trending analysis, gathering scheduling metrics to highlight areas of concern for the 371 SOCTS Commander or designated representative.
Build Eglin Range templates to include the scheduling of appropriate range resources, profile durations and mission offsets.
Lay out annual, monthly, and daily schedule and recommend alternate training locations should conflicts arise.
Work special range projects within the Eglin Range Complex, Forecast the Job Order Number (JON) budget and balance JON finances.
Submit SOCOM Form 111s for aircraft and/or personnel support requests.
Conduct official Eglin Range Safety and Operations Procedures (RSOP) Briefing. AFSOC experience and a comprehensive understanding of the unique AFSOC training demands associated with the 371 SOCTS mission sets, Air Commando Field Skills Course, Air Command Course, Combat Aviation Advisor and Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Elements, highly desirable.
Responsible for the range coordination for all current and future courses within the 371 SOCTS
Be available for additional squadron training support to include role playing for cultural training events and field exercises. The 371 SOCTS Commander or designated representative will coordinate with the PM for all such training requirements.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
