This position is part of the Johnson Controls Power Solutions business unit, which is a world leader working in partnership with our customers to meet increasing market demands for energy storage on a global scale. What you will do:

Proactively manage and Coordinate the effective and efficient implementation of the quality management system and the certifications associated with it. Drive continuous improvement to support the North America plants to achieve the quality systems indicators and goals. Also, oversee the identification of the resources and new documents to support the compliance of Business Operation System.

How you will do it:

Oversee the deployment and execution of all Power Solutions Quality Systems:

Support the definition and development of a world-class Quality Systems that meet or exceed all customer, industry, internal requirements and expectations and maintain all appropriate certifications

Support the identification, promotion, and deployment of Quality best practices throughout the organization

Assure that all the customer and organization requirements are met or exceeded to support the organization with world-class Quality Systems

Coach (regular contact) QMS Coordinators in the plants to ensure QMS knowledge and training on updated QMS requirements

Propose, Drive and support Continuous Improvement activities affecting the Quality System

Assure customer specific requirements are addressed in QMS

Coordinate the effectively implementation of the Document Control, Internal Audit and Corrective action Processes:

Manage Corporate QMS Audit Program, including training.

Leading the NA region Internal Quality Systems Audit process.

Monitor Battery locations for proper controlled documentation and current revision levels of documentation to ensure compliance with ISO IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements

Manage the directory of quality system documentation on the electronic file system

Responsible for managing PCARs databases including data entry, monitoring status of requested actions, and generating reports

Support the analysis of non-conformities detected during the audits and tracking the state of NC to the effective closure

Coordinate corrective actions replication of nonconformities detected in External Audits in NA plants

Coordinate the IATF/ ISO/IATF 16949 compliance with 3rd Party Certifications:

Manage/ Support corporate and riskier or under staffed plants during 3rd party ISO/IATF 16949 audits including CA’s.

Proactively implement the new requirements of ISO IATF and specific customer requirements associated before their application (e.g. ISO 9001 2015, VDA, and ISO IATF 16949)

Coordinate the BOS (Business Operating System) services:

Support the development of policies and BOS procedures to ensure the quality of work in all disciplines and to ensure robust quality processes

Ensure BOS/ JCMS and IATF clauses are linked

Responsible for the QA Deviation function in SAP and other quality systems, as directed.

What we look for:

Bachelor degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, Industrial, etc.) required

Minimum 6 years of working experience, of which min. 3 years on quality related activities in a development and/or production environment, preferable in the automotive industry

ASQ, EOQ, IRCA – Certified Quality Auditor/ Certified Quality Engineer highly desirable

Six Sigma Green Belt certification desirable

Knowledge in SAP and SharePoint

Trained/ certified in standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS): ISO9001 and ISO/IATF 16949 and problem solving techniques

Excellent Problem Solving Skills, with a wide knowledge and experience using different methodologies (8D)

Knowledge in the specific requirements of customers in the automotive original equipment industry

Certified Internal Auditor ISO / IATF 16949

Certified VDA auditor, desirable.

Solid knowledge and experience using AIAG core tools MSA, SPC, PFMEA, APQP/CP & PPAP

Experience in conducting audits of manufacturing plants for compliance with quality standards (IATF 16949/ ISO TS)

General knowledge in automotive battery manufacturing helpful (Flooded lead-acid and AGM, Li-Ion)

Travel in USA: 20%
