4: 10+ years' of engineering leadership experience with demonstrated

5: 10+ ability to grow and lead teams of engineers

6: 3+ years' experience building data environments for advanced research

7: 3+ and AI based model development (including experience with large scale

8: 3+ geospatial, IoT, or unstructured, high frequency datasets)

9: 5+ years' experience building and supporting global, production-scale,

10: 5+ cloud-based systems

11: 3+ years' experience leading cross functional teams of engineers and

12: 3+ data scientists to productionize machine learning models

13: 5+ years' Experience and proven ability to deliver successful,

14: 5+ performant, data-based software products from concept to scaled

15: 5+ production using Agile or similar development practices

We are looking for an Engineering Lead, Precision Agriculture Analytics, to build and lead an engineering team that will design, develop, and support our precision agriculture analytics platform for artificial intelligence (AI). This team will support global scale research and AI based model development, as well as build production data products that utilize machine learning algorithms to enable intelligent, automated equipment and to improve farmer decision making.

This is a ground-floor opportunity - the first person of the team who will hire / build the initial team (of about 10). The team will grow significantly over the following years.

This position can be worked from Urbandale, IA or San Francisco, CA

Duties and Responsibilities

== Build and support the technical infrastructure to enable analysis, research, and model development using precision agriculture data at petabyte scale

== Partner with equipment platforms and automation teams to contribute to design and delivery of end to end solutions that encompass onboard and offboard artificial intelligence and automation

== Collaborate with engineering leaders and architects across the Enterprise to leverage existing technical capabilities and maximize our infrastructure investments

== Partner with analytics leaders and data scientists to increasingly accelerate the time to market for machine learning models

== Ensure stability, performance, and cost effectiveness of research, data, and software products through robust, scalable, and secure software development practices ú

== Develop and execute resource plans and budgets for areas of responsibility
