iOS/Android Designer

Job description

Work closely with mobile team translate initial concepts and requirements into wireframes; refine, iterate, and fully develop high-quality finished designs into hand-off to engineering

Design full-stack designs across our platforms by creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and pixel-perfect visuals

Collaborate with Mobile Developers to ensure the design is properly implemented

Help our cross-functional teams develop and evolve digital solutions driven by value exchanges between users and brands

Incorporate internal testing and usability best practices into work that is appropriate for a mobile audience and effective across various device sizes

Stay up-to-date on industry and user experience trends, best practices, and technology and promote this within the mobile team

Bring user-centric design approach and attention to detail to all work you produce

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Web/Interaction Design equivalent working experience

Minimum 1 years of proven experience in defining, developing, and documenting UX design and interaction requirements across various mobile platforms (iOS, Android, mobile web)

Be able to demonstrate the understanding of technologies that support product lines; JavaScript or HTML is knowledge is a plus

Distill complex problems into clean solutions

Be willing to deal with multi-tasks and work in an often fast-paced environment with deadlines

Have prior experience with agile mobile development is a plus

Have experience working in a news or publishing organization is a big plus
