Full-time Regulated Pharmacy Technician

Our client is looking for a Regulated Pharmacy Technician to fill a permanent full-time position in Richmond, BC. If you are seeking a stable and consistent work environment with a good pay, then this is the position for you!

You are expected to be a passionate individual, who can contribute to the growth and success of a highly professional team. In this role you will be responsible to provide superior patient care, and communicate with the customers over the phone and in- store to address customer service issues. You are expected to be detail orientated to support the team to operate day to day operations helping professional pharmacists, and maintaining company standard.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement standard procedures for mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals to ensure quality.

• Counsel customers on the use and effects of pharmaceutical drugs, and ensure the accuracy of prescriptions.

• Instruct patients regarding directions for taking medications.

• Verify patient information before filling a prescription and up keeping customer medication profiles.

• Work alongside healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, and review the drugs.

• Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customer and communicate the dosage amount, adverse effects and other important indications.

• Maintain drug inventory levels by ordering necessary mediations and supplies, and verifying deliveries against purchase orders.

• Complete new and updated patient profiles, including lists of patient medications in the computer system.

• Provide a professional and confidential environment for all customers.

• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned to assist Pharmacy Manager to achieve company goals.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• College Diploma as a Pharmacy Assistant

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a pharmaceutical environment

• Licensed as an RPHT with the BC College of Pharmacists

• Experience with pharmacy computer systems

• Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skill

• Ability to work independently and within the team

• Ability to work productively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
