Senior Software Engineer (574289)

Job duties - As part of our engineering team, create a fantastic user experience by designing and implementing algorithms and data structures to support the company’s high-performance website and data service for the real estate industry. Participate in all aspects of our web application development, including both front- and back-end development. Work on multiple parts of the stack, from creating a superb user interface to debugging our distributed service infrastructure. Utilize programming languages and tools such as Java, Python, JavaScript, CSS, and MongoDB to create and maintain complete, well-tested, database-driven web applications. Use algorithmic and data structure knowledge and RESTful design to implement robust APIs for web and mobile products. Architect code for modularity and re-use. Communicate with the company’s product and business teams and offer thought leadership on code structure and style.

Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field; and five years of software engineering experience.

Background - Experience above must include three years writing well-tested, database-driven applications released to production. Experience above must include three years of coding in Java, Python, JavaScript, CSS, or MongoDB. Experience above must include two years with API design. Experience above must include two years using SQL or memcached. AWS (Amazon Web Services) or equivalent cloud platform. Background designing and implementing algorithms and data structures. Skill with software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce). Skill with file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting using *nix.
