My newest client invites you to join their Boston team in their fast-paced Information Technology Department as an IT Specialist I.

This candidate will:

Facilitate and own all workstation deployment and user support requests for the firm.

Troubleshoot a wide range of software and hardware issues, providing on-site support as well as back-up support to all other offices.

Manage and assist with implementation, integration, and training for any new or existing application or system rollouts.

Act as a resource for resolving problems and provide technical insight escalated from within IT and other departments.

Configure and support servers, storage, and infrastructure for an extensive Microsoft, NetApp and Cisco environment.

Deploy and implement new servers and technologies for multi-server applications such as MS SQL, Exchange, Citrix and other custom applications.

Actively own projects and incidents while providing meaningful documentation of processes and procedures for solutions.

Resolve workstation issues throughout the organization to maximize firm-wide productivity and minimize system downtime.

Handle tickets escalated from the other IT Specialists and the Help Desk.

Act as a lead resource to the other IT groups by assisting with workstation, application, network, server, and telecom support, administration, and testing.

Strong candidates will have:

Strong knowledge of information technology at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in business or information technology, or a closely related field, technical training, or equivalent experience.

Microsoft certification/training strongly desired.

Approximately 2-3 years of experience providing desktop support, preferably in a large professional-services environment.

Windows 10, A+, and Network+ certifications.

3-5 years of experience using Microsoft Server systems in a VMWare environment along with a current MCSE certification.

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to maintain effective relationships with venders and co-workers, in both a technical and non-technical manor.

A self-driven personality with the ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment.

5 years experience in Windows workstation implementation, management, and support preferably in the professional services industry

Current certifications in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Windows 10 MCSA, CompTIA Network+ and A+.

Ability to provide technical guidance and explain advanced concepts to others in the work area via strong written and oral communications.
