Our recruiters are the heart of our staffing department. The recruiter position is focused on the needs of our partners and on helping individuals in the community find careers. Working through our strategic partnerships, you will have access to an ideal candidate database for any position.

Recruiters are responsible for sourcing, interviewing, testing, placing, on-boarding and following-up of applicants through the employment cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop a pool of candidates in advance of need by researching and help develop new sources for candidate recruiting in addition to utilizing internal resources for sourcing applicants and filling positions.

Use social and professional networking to identify and source candidates.

Efficiently and strategically fill each open position.

Coordinate with manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).

Determine applicant qualifications for positions

Arrange/conduct pre-screening phone and in-person interview(s) of applicants.

Evaluate applicants through their qualifications and job requirements using ranking system.

Coordinate appropriate employment testing/assessment(s)

Conduct employment screening, background check, verification and if necessary new-hire drug testing.

Select and place employees

Coordinate/maintain employee referral program.

Conduct orientation/training of new employees.

Maintain appropriate report records such as start date, location, process status etc.

Follow-up and if necessary coach employee(s) weekly

Conduct bi-monthly on-site visit at partner locations.

Complete daily/weekly report(s) on measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that the processes are transparent and measurable. Set and meet continuous improvement goals.

Conduct exit interviews with employees.

Follow-up with managers to review/determine the effectiveness of recruiting and placing of applicants/employees - time to hire/training/employee turnover rate/employee turnover cost/preventable employee turnover etc.

Attend job/career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, lift, use hands/finger and reach with hands and arms, and use a computer for extended periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a temp to perm position. Days and hours of work may vary.


Regular local and intra-state travel is expected for this position.

Education and Experience

1-2 years relevant experience.

Proven applicant sourcing and relationship building skills.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources.

One to two years of related experience is preferred. Proven applicant sourcing and relationship building skills are required. A bachelor’s Degree is recommended but not required.
