Job Description:

Design and implement automotive technologies related to rear view camera, rear seat entertainment, Ethernet Audio video bridging (EAVB), In-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system, Advance driver assistance system (ADAS), vehicle networks and applications based on Android, GHS Integrity, Automotive grade Linux or QNX Hypervisor OS platforms. Develop device drivers and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) frameworks for multimedia domains including camera, audio, video, display, and graphics for handheld, embedded and real-time operating systems. Design and develop software for heterogeneous compute platforms consisting of Advance Risc Machines (ARM), Graphic Processing Units (GPU), Digital Signal Processors (DSP) in an embedded System-on-chip (SoC), addressing system design challenges such as multi-OS virtualization and multi-domain boot architecture. Design and develop core Android auto platform and applications to enable automotive infotainment features such as Human Machine Interface, in-car user interface, automotive developer API’s, interface to Control Area network (CAN), Local Interconnect network (LIN), Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) busses and Electronic Control Units (ECU). Perform low level software and hardware interface design and debugging on Linux, Open Embedded and Yocto operating systems. Design and review software architecture. Develop codes and test applications and product based automotive chipset for Android products.

Travel and work at client sites as assigned.

Five (5) years of experience in a related IT or engineering role.

Requires five (5) years of experience in the following:

1. Experience with C, C++ and Java software development on real time embedded, mobile or consumer electronic platforms;

2. Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, Linux Device Tree and ACPI configuration; and

3. Experience in Multimedia with OpenGL, OpenCL Concepts, media streaming protocols and graphics hardware acceleration;

Requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

1. Experience with the following automotive software protocols and interfaces: TCPIP, EAVB, USB-Profiles, CAN, SDIO and MOST;

2. Experience with Hardware debugging in OS-Context using Lauterbach Debugger with LINUX OS;

3. Experience with automotive SoC Systems Architectures (Multi-Core) on Qualcomm, ARM or Texas Instruments chipsets;

4. Experience with Hypervisor virtualization technologies on complex automotive systems on chip processors; and

5. Experience with software development processes in automotive ASPICE, CMMI or ASIL-A.

A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications or a related field
