Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug real-time embedded software programs for enhancements and new products. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet-related tools. Determine hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Assist in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of software components and systems using high-level programming languages such as C & C++. Analyze, design, implement, deploy and maintain software security measures to keep automotive software safe from cyber security threats. Ensure vehicle data privacy and securely configure network connections to external entities. System analysis for threat modeling, design penetration test cases, vulnerability exploration and security incident response. Design and deploy cyber security concepts in embedded software such as information confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, cryptographic methods for encryption, signature verifications, hash algorithms, certificate authority etc. Responsible for cross-domain code and design review for software security defects. Plan cyber security feature rollouts to meet customer deadlines. Guide engineers from multiple domains for technical directions on cyber security feature implementation. Provide continuous design improvement to make existing system more robust against newly developed cyber threats. Interface with customers in software development and to plan, design, prioritize, and report project status. Conduct requirements, design code and test plan reviews for own work and team’s work. Integrate software modules to produce a working product. Train and promote cyber threat awareness among management and engineering teams for overall business impact. Keep up with latest cyber threat incidents, attacks and research findings for proactive counter measures. Work with latest security tools such as OpenSSL along with Operating Systems like SE Linux. Incorporate secure software development best practice such as CERT- C guidelines. Generate and analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Responsible for determining root cause of product non-performance. Provide direction to both on-shore and off-shore development teams to develop new features, debug defects and write unit level test frameworks and test cases. Participate in meetings between company, suppliers and customers for design reviews and to track project status.

Three (3) years of experience in cyber security.

A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
