MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma (required). Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (preferred).

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Experience with LMS systems such as Moodle, Blackboard, or others.

Able to modify and maintain custom Moodle plugins, themes, and codes (PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS).

Experience with administering, maintaining, and updating Moodle sites.

Able to modify and create SCORM packages that can be used by the LMS.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

Experience with current programming trends and languages (i.e. .NET, JavaScript, C#, C+)

Knowledge of instructional design and e-learning tools and methodologies

CBT (computer-based training) development

Project management skills and/or experience

Analytical and evaluation skills

Database development

Capable in Adobe Flash, Adobe Animate, Adobe Dreamweaver, and other Creative Suite applications

General Skills: The LMS Developer will work with a dynamic team of instructors and courseware developers. LMS Developer will contribute their skills and knowledge to the utilization and development of Moodle LMS. This position will be responsible for the programming, development, and customization of the LMS sites. Candidate should be creative, self-motivated, flexible, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing capabilities. Candidate should demonstrate attention to detail and be deadline-oriented.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, test, and evaluate Moodle based learning system from the user perspective and make modifications to functionality or design to improve the online learning experience.

Support the development of training resources such as: online learning modules, webinars, communities of practice, and online forums/discussion groups.

Create and deliver reports on LMS usage data for specific cohorts to assist with planning and evaluation activities.

Assist instructors in creating and editing online surveys and generating reports.

Troubleshoot any issues or problems arising and communicating the solution to the end users.
