Job description:

Perform layout inspection of prototype and production components using precisions instruments.

• Measure dimensions such as angles, arcs, and radii, using combination of aids, such as surface plate, parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, plug pins, v-blocks, etc.

• Apply math and blueprint reading skills as required to perform day-to-day assignments.

• Operate various pieces of electronic / mechanical / optical inspection equipment as required.

• Work from drawings, specifications and instructions.

• Perform inspection activities on raw material, machined parts, and special processes.

• Perform MRB activities.

• Perform in-process and final quality acceptance prior to shipment to the customer using visual, measurements, and document review methods.

• Write Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) investigate cause and corrective action for defects as part of a team.

• Complete and maintain quality documents and files including inspections, FAI, rework, and product certifications per the Quality System.

• Perform audits and submit reports to the Quality Manager on planned intervals.

• Review and evaluate basic Statistical Process Control charts for trends and special cause events.

• Perform other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager

• Process material in the MRB Quarantine Area in a timely manner.

• Reviews and maintains NCR log.

Tools used: Zeiss Prismo with Calypso.

Bottom Line Requirements:

1. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection of aerospace parts or similar.

2. Experience measuring dimensions such as angles, arcs, and radii, using combination of aids, such as surface plate, parallel bars, angle plates, gauge blocks, plug pins, v-blocks, etc.

3. Experience using Zeiss Prismo with Calypso.
