Solar Power Plant Installation Technicians Engineers

Job Description: Responsibility

1) Select mechanical designs, installation equipment, or installation plans that conform to environmental, architectural, structural, site, and code requirements.

2) Test operating voltages to ensure operation within acceptable limits for power conditioning equipment, such as inverters and controllers.

3) Examine designs to determine current requirements for all parts of the photovoltaic (PV) system electrical circuit.

4) Identify and resolve any deficiencies in photovoltaic (PV) system installation or materials.

5) Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.

6) Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with photovoltaic (PV) installations.

7) Check electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or integrity of terminations.

8) Assemble solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified.

9) Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.

10) Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar and solar thermal systems to ensure conformance to codes.

11) Supervise solar installers, technicians, workers and subcontractors for solar installation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards.

14) Monitor work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure projects conform to plans, specifications, schedules, or budgets.

15) Perform start-up of systems for testing or customer implementation.

16) Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other solar professionals in areas such as solar electric systems, solar thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.

18) Develop and maintain system architecture, including all piping, instrumentation, or process flow diagrams.

19) Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projects.

20) Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase the efficiency of solar installation projects.

20) Program, adjust, or configure inverters and controls for desired set points and operating modes.

21) End to end execution of solar projects

This position is open to Singapore.

Qualification: BE degree with 5 years experience in Megawatt scale projects, Diplomo or ITI with 7 to 8 years experience

Salary will be based on the industry experience

Work environment is outdoor and work timings in 8AM to 7PM in the evening
