Senior Developer (Denodo Engineer) - RT

Seeling an experienced Denodo Engineer to contribute to the development and support of projects on its data virtualization platform team. We are seeking a motivated individual who can work on trouble shooting issue to drive to root cause and solution, design and support data virtualization projects.

Responsibilities include:

Understand business needs and processes; identify solutions, present and guide the business and IT teams in identifying the best solution

Supports the definition of, and adherence to, Data Virtualization standards, conventions, principles

Collaborate with other application development teams to design, develop and deploy solutions leveraging the data virtualization tool

Work in Agile environment

Mentor junior engineers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience

2. 5-8 years of experience in Software development, ideally 8+ years

3. 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Denodo developer

4. Development experience in MongoDB and Hadoop highly desired

5. 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ETL developer

6. Experienced in ETL concepts and tools such as Informatica, Data Stage, SQL, Data Mapping, SML Webservices

7. Strong with SQL development knowledge for Relational Databases

8. Business and Technical Analysis skills

9. Experience with monitoring & performance tuning Denodo environments

10. Experience in scripting languages like Batch, Shell in Unix environment

11. Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources like DB2, Sybase, Oracle, SQL server, Mongo DB

12. Experience in Data Mapping, XML/JSON, and web service

13. Experienced in key ETL technologies, SQL Server DB

14. Master’s Degree in Computer Science - Preferred

15. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in project teams - Preferred
