Student Support & Behavior Intervention Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Site Administrator, the Student Support & Behavior Intervention Coordinator provides Tier 1, Tier 2, and targeted Tier 3 behavioral and social-emotional supports to promote a safe, positive, and productive school environment. The Coordinator works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and the school counselor to respond to student behavioral needs, implement restorative practices, monitor intervention plans, and build positive relationships that increase student success.
Equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, child development, social work, behavioral science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Two (2) years of successful experience working with elementary school-aged children in behavior intervention, student support, classroom support, youth development, counseling support, or a closely related setting is preferred. Training or experience in PBIS, MTSS, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, de-escalation, conflict mediation, or behavior intervention is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and related experience may be considered. • ATTACH A STATEMENT (500 word maximum) which includes the following: 1.
