Job Description

In the context of a public service of proximity and in a relationship of interface with the elected officials and with the secretary general, the AGENT TECHNIQUE POLYVALENT leads the set of activities related to the maintenance and enhancement of public spaces and communal buildings. Maintain in working order and maintain communal equipment: participate in the work carried out by the service agents, perform small handling work (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, various small projects in management …), participate in safety checks (gas verifications, electricity, fire safety, playgrounds …), ensure the follow-up of external company services, ensure temporary signage.

Participate in the maintenance of the road and communal spaces: maintain in good condition the public spaces (sweeping, collection of waste, cleaning of drop-off points, snow removal, weeding, mowing, pruning, pruning, collection of dead leaves,…), carry out emergency interventions to clear the road (dead animals, trees, …), participate in the beautification of the municipality (planting, maintenance watering of beds and flower boxes,…), cleaning of urban equipment (benches, bus shelters, flower bases, signage, garbage bins,…).

Ensure the routine maintenance of the equipment: ensure the routine maintenance of the technical equipment used (checks before use, assembly, disassembly, cleaning, storage,…), respect the safety rules related to the handling of tools and dangerous products, keep the workshop and vehicles clean.

Secondary duties of the position: participate in the organization of events and manifestations organized by the community (help with the installation of Christmas decorations, management of equipment loan, installation of room with furniture movement, preparation of a polling station,….).

Profile Sought

Theoretical knowledge and know-how: know the functioning, organization and environment of the municipality, work in a team, know how to report.

Technical skills: know and apply basic techniques in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, etc… Know and apply the regulations on road signage and construction sites, know the techniques of pruning, pruning and tree felling, know how to drive the vehicles of the municipality, use and make maintenance and routine maintenance of the tools, know the regulations on hygiene and safety and know how to transmit them to the agents, know the rules of use of machines and the modalities of use of products, know the instructions to be applied in case of emergency and first aid gestures.

Know-how: show diplomacy, listening and patience with its different interlocutors, be rigorous, be available, show discretion, have a sense of public service, be assiduous and punctual.

Legal Basis

Art. L332-23 disposition 1 of the general code of public service - Only a contractual employee can be recruited for this position because it is a temporary increase in activity. The proposed contract may not exceed one year, during the same period of 18 consecutive months.
