CNC Programmer
We have an excellent opportunity in Grove City, OH for a skilled CNC PROGRAMMER. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in MasterCam and have experience developing, optimizing, and refining machining programs for intricate 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers. Reporting to the Machining Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring the team meets production targets, on-time delivery, quality standards, and safety protocols. This is a position that requires onsite presence, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
Duties:
Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, GD&T specifications, and client requirements to devise the best machining strategies
Choose the appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and workholding techniques to enhance precision and reduce cycle times
Implement process enhancements through toolpath optimization, tooling upgrades, and standardized programming methods
Develop, revise, validate, and optimize CNC programs for 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers
Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to validate programs and ensure smooth setup on the manufacturing floor
Conduct trial runs and troubleshoot programming issues, toolpath errors, and post-processor adjustments
Maintain program records, revision control, and systematic file organization
Assist in fixture design considerations to improve manufacturability and repeatability
Perform additional tasks as requested
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Setup Machinist
Minimum of 3 years experience as a CNC Programmer using MasterCam (or similar CAD/CAM software)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T
Broad understanding of CNC machines, tooling, workholding, and various metal types
Familiarity with G & M code for multiple control brands; preference for experience with Fanuc
