HOLIDAY LIGHTING INSTALLER

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL and surrounding areas

Salary Range: $30–$50 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time Seasonal

Start Date: October 2025

POSITION SUMMARY

The Holiday Lighting Installer is responsible for professionally installing outdoor holiday lighting displays on residential and commercial properties. This role requires reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in creating safe, beautiful installations that delight customers. Applicants will be evaluated to ensure they can work safely and confidently at heights, including on rooftops and elevated surfaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install outdoor holiday lights on rooftops, gutters, trees, and landscaping

Complete ladder safety training and demonstrate proper ladder usage

Work safely and confidently at heights, including rooftops and elevated surfaces

Operate a boom lift safely and effectively (preferred but not required)

Provide on-site quotes and recommend lighting options to clients

Maintain professional appearance and deliver high-quality work

Drive to and from client homes and commercial locations

Support marketing efforts by distributing door hangers, lawn signs, and other materials

Dependable, energetic, and self-motivated

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

No prior holiday lighting experience required—comprehensive training provided

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Comfort working on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces

Must pass an evaluation to ensure ability to work safely at heights of on the roof

Prolonged periods working outdoors in varying weather conditions
