We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our analytics team and help transform data into meaningful insights that support business decisions, insurance operations, and customer-focused solutions. This role works closely with teams across underwriting, claims, finance, technology, and data science to analyse information, improve processes, and support Intact's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from insurance systems, databases, and business applications.

Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business performance and decision-making.

Analyse customer, claims, policy, pricing, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.

Create and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse large datasets.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, actuaries, data scientists, and technology teams to deliver analytical solutions.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to improve business outcomes.

Support forecasting, reporting, risk analysis, and strategic planning activities.

Ensure data accuracy, quality, governance, and compliance with company standards.

Automate recurring reports and improve analytics processes.

Maintain documentation for data definitions, reporting procedures, and analytical methodologies.

What You'll Bring

Required

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics.

Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualisation tools.

Experience with data modelling, reporting, and statistical analysis.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.

Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.

Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience in insurance, financial services, claims, underwriting, or risk analytics.

Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehouses, and data governance practices.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
