We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you'll design and build scalable data platforms that power Neo's digital banking ecosystem. You'll collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to develop reliable data solutions that support analytics, machine learning, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.

Develop and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed data processing systems.

Integrate data from banking platforms, payment systems, APIs, and third-party sources.

Ensure data quality, security, governance, and integrity across the data platform.

Partner with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver reliable datasets.

Optimize database performance, storage, and query efficiency.

Implement automated data validation, monitoring, and testing processes.

Support real-time and batch data processing for reporting and analytics.

Develop and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure using modern engineering practices.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and continuous platform improvements.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in data engineering or backend software development.

Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.

Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and relational or NoSQL databases.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, or similar data engineering tools.

Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of fintech, digital banking, payment systems, or financial data platforms.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
