Location: Seattle, WA

Salary: $160,000/Annum

Client is looking for an Associate Attorney with at least six years’ experience in civil litigation. Applicant must be capable of handling cases throughout the litigation process with supervision. Experience with motion practice essential.

The position will be responsible for civil litigation cases.

Examples of Civil Litigation Attorney responsibilities:

• Meet with clients in your office to discuss legal issues and to devise litigation strategies

• Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for their legal matter

• Draft motions and other papers. Conduct discovery. Depose party opponents, experts and third parties

• Attend all hearings on behalf of clients and argue in support of motions and papers.

• Conduct hearings and trials as required

• Assist clients with executing settlement agreements

The position is full time. Salary is in $160,000 range. We offer benefits such as 3 weeks paid vacation, medical, dental and vision insurance and a retirement plan with matching contributions. There is also a generous bonus plan. The office is located in sunny downtown Seattle.

Role Description the Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda. Day-to-day work includes conducting legal research, analysing case law, reviewing documents, and preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. The role involves providing clear legal advice to clients, participating in settlement negotiations, and appearing in court as needed. The Associate Attorney will collaborate with partners, other attorneys, and support staff to develop case strategies and meet deadlines. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Seattle, WA.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and procedural rules.

• Experience or interest in Labor and Employment Law, including workplace policies, disputes, and compliance.

• Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients in litigation and pre-litigation settings.

• Proficiency in legal Research to support motions, pleadings, and case strategy.

• Effective Negotiation skills for settlement discussions, mediations, and client advocacy.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership (or eligibility) with the Washington State Bar.

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and organization.

• Ability to manage multiple matters, work collaboratively in a team environment, and meet court and client deadlines.

• Prior litigation experience, including drafting motions and participating in discovery, is preferred.
