Building & Grounds Coordinator Part Time

UVHS is looking for an experienced individual to perform maintenance, repairs, cleaning of common areas, minor construction and renovation projects. If you are interested in supporting efforts to help animals in need in our community we want to hear from you.

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in landscaping and/or facility maintenance

• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC skills are preferred

• Excellent organizational skills

• Able to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors and the public in a professional, courteous, respectful and compassionate manner

• Able to work independently and follow instructions

• Skill to safely operate hand & power tools and maintenance equipment required

• Ability to lift 80 pounds, sit, bend, kneel or stand for extended periods required

• Sense of humor, vision, enthusiasm and consistency

Schedule:

• 20 hours per week, days are negotiable. Some weekend, holiday and evening hours may be necessary.
