Compensation: $55–$65 per session

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and engaging Robotics Instructor to lead hands-on afterschool enrichment classes in San Jose. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy technology, engineering, and inspiring young learners through interactive STEM experiences.

Students will explore robotics through building, programming, testing, and problem-solving activities. Instructors will guide students as they learn how robots move, respond to commands, and complete challenges while developing creativity, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Lead robotics lessons and activities in an afterschool setting

Demonstrate basic engineering and programming concepts in an age-appropriate manner

Support students as they build, test, and improve robotic creations

Facilitate team challenges and collaborative projects

Encourage experimentation, perseverance, and innovative thinking

Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment

Manage classroom routines and ensure student safety

Qualifications

Enjoys working with children and fostering a positive learning experience

Can confidently lead groups of students in hands-on activities

Has strong communication and organizational skills

Is dependable, punctual, and professional

Can adapt instruction to meet the needs of different learners

Requirements

Robotics, engineering, computer science, or STEM-related background

Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth programs

Familiarity with educational robotics platforms and project-based learning

Experience facilitating enrichment, camp, or afterschool programs
