Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a step-down specialty. Start date for the position is approximately 3-4 weeks out. The shift consists of three 12-hour nights. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically between 1:3 and 1:4. Weekend shifts are required every other week. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. The nurse will float within their scope to meet facility needs. The patient population includes adolescents and adults. Daily census for the unit is around 22 patients with a maximum of 26 beds. Patients typically require post-operative vascular care, including various surgical procedures. Special procedures include monitoring advanced medication infusions and managing complex care needs. Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The shift will involve close monitoring and coordination with additional healthcare team members. The nurse will manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality patient care.
