Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!
The core hours average 54 per week from 6 am - 4:30 pm, M-F. There is OT every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm.
The hourly range for this position is $23.87-$31.13 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting production processes and completed work to ensure products meet engineering, company, and customer specifications. This role verifies shelter builds against engineering drawings and Quality Travelers, documents discrepancies, and works cross-functionally to ensure corrective actions are completed. The Quality Technician may support inspections across multiple production areas and assist with training and coaching team members on quality expectations.
In this function you will:
Inspect production processes and finished units for compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and Quality Travelers
Execute inspections per Quality Travelers, verifying required hold points, signoffs, and documentation accuracy
Perform accept/reject inspections; identify, document, and communicate nonconformances to production teams
Process nonconforming material through the DMR system, ensuring proper identification, tagging, segregation, and disposition
Initiate containment actions, including hold or stop-work, when nonconformance or risk is identified
Support cross-functional review of nonconforming material and assist in disposition and resolution
Support corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, A3)
Inspect electrical integration work, including torque verification, grounding, terminations, labeling, and insulation condition
Identify and escalate systemic workmanship issues impacting safety, compliance, or customer requirements
Record inspection results to support daily and weekly nonconformance reporting, KPI tracking, and trend analysis
Support incoming inspections, supplier-related quality issues, and documentation for escalation
Assist with warranty or field-related quality issues, including documentation and investigation support
Ensure compliance with Fibrebond/Eaton QMS requirements across all inspections
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits through accurate documentation and inspection readiness
Coach and reinforce quality expectations, workmanship standards, and SOP adherence within production teams
Provide inspection support across multiple production areas as needed.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Experience in Level 2 electrical integration or equivalent electrical manufacturing experience (2 years).
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications
Prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Electrical certificate or formal electrical training from an accredited institution
Experience with nonconformance systems (DMR, CAR) and root cause analysis methods
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or QMS-based manufacturing environments
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
Ability to use inspection and measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, multimeters, torque tools, gauges) to verify conformance
Ability to work safely in a team-based manufacturing environment
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to bend, twist, reach, stand, walk, and climb ladders for elevated inspections and repairs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasonal temperatures
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety eyewear and steel-toed boots
