Process Engineer

Job Description Lead manufacturing development initiatives focused on process modeling, documentation, and production planning.

Drive pre-production engineering analysis, fixture design, and comprehensive process documentation to enable multi-part production and lights-out machining operations.

New Product IntroductionDevelop manufacturing processes for new products aligned with established best practicesCreate fixturing methodologies and programming approaches for new aerospace componentsSupport purchase order review process to ensure programming lead times meet production start datesValidate that programming and production duration will meet quoted hours and delivery commitmentsEnsure new product processes integrate seamlessly with existing manufacturing capabilities CAD/CAM Development & IntegrationDesign detailed part, fixture models, and assembly drawings using CAD softwareDevelop CAM programming templates and standardized toolpath strategiesGenerate 3D models for visualization and manufacturing communicationCreate detailed part setup drawings and work-holding configuration documentationEstablish CAD standards and design guidelines for manufacturing consistencyGenerate detailed manufacturing process sheets and routing documents to ensure customer requirements are met Multi-Part and Lights-Out Production PlanningDevelop family-of-parts grouping strategies and production batching methodologiesDevelop tombstone strategies to enable lights out machiningCreate comprehensive setup sheets and operator work instructions for unmanned operations with process monitoring protocolsDevelop methods using multiple fixtures for small to midsize parts to enable lights-out machining Production Support & OptimizationProvide technical support for production implementation of new processesTroubleshoot manufacturing issues and recommend process improvementsCoordinate with programming and operations teams to refine manufacturing processesCollaborate with programming team to develop standardized tool packages and best practices Compliance & DocumentationMaintain compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 quality standardsComplete all required training and certification programsPerform additional duties as assigned by management A) Education and experienceBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering desiredMinimum 3+ years in process engineering or manufacturing developmentProven ability to create comprehensive technical documentationAdvanced proficiency in SolidWorks, and CAD/CAM software systemsUnderstanding of aerospace manufacturing standards and quality requirementsKnowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Understanding of traceability and documentation requirements B) Personal skills/attributesExceptional attention to detail with focus on accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent project management skillsEffective communication skills for presenting technical conceptsSelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyCreative thinking for innovative manufacturing solutionsSystematic approach to documentation and change control Must be U.S.
