We are looking for someone who can manage cases proactively, anticipate attorney’s needs, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout their matter.
Responsibilities
• Draft and prepare family law pleadings, motions, certifications, Case Information Statements (CIS), discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case timelines
• Communicate regularly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Organize and maintain electronic client files and case management systems
• Prepare hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial materials
• Assist with financial discovery, document review, and case preparation
• File documents electronically with the court and monitor case status
• Schedule client meetings, court appearances, and expert consultations
• Maintain accurate billing and timekeeping records
• Support attorneys in all phases of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, domestic violence, and post-judgment matters
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law
• Strong understanding of family court procedures and litigation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software
• Experience with electronic court filing systems
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
