About the Role

The Food Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the complete production process of sauces, pickles, and other processed food products.

The selected candidate will ensure smooth production operations while maintaining product quality, food safety standards, production efficiency, and timely completion of production targets.

This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge of food processing along with excellent team management and production planning skills.

Educational Qualification

Candidates having any of the following qualifications are preferred:

• ITI

• Diploma in Food Technology

• B.Sc. in Food Technology

• Degree or Diploma in Food Processing

• Any relevant technical qualification related to Food Manufacturing

Experience Required

Experience is Mandatory.

Candidates must have practical working experience in Sauce and Pickle Manufacturing.

Applicants without relevant experience in sauce and pickle production may not be considered.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Sauce Manufacturing

• Pickle Manufacturing

• Tomato Ketchup Production

• Food Processing

• Condiment Manufacturing

• FMCG Food Production

Key Responsibilities

As a Food Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Production Supervision

• Supervise daily production activities.

• Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned schedule.

• Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise production workers.

• Allocate daily production tasks.

• Maintain discipline and teamwork on the production floor.

• Train new employees on production procedures and food safety practices.

Quality Control

• Ensure all products meet company quality standards.

• Monitor consistency in taste, texture, colour, and packaging.

• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to resolve production issues.

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Maintain strict hygiene throughout the production process.

• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards.

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Maintain cleanliness of machines and production areas.

Production Planning

• Coordinate with management regarding production schedules.

• Ensure timely availability of raw materials.

• Monitor stock usage and reduce production wastage.

Machine Monitoring

• Supervise the operation of food processing equipment.

• Report machine breakdowns immediately.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the engineering team.

Documentation

• Maintain daily production reports.

• Record batch details and production output.

• Ensure proper documentation of quality checks and production records.

Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate with the Stores Department for raw material availability.

• Monitor inventory consumption.

• Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency.

• Suggest process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.

• Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
