Duties
• Plan the menu and order food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• Make sure all dishes are prepared and presented well before serving.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients and cooked food.
• Work closely with the restaurant manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Show other kitchen staff how to prepare and cook food when needed.
• Follow and maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Help train new kitchen staff if required.
• Store, freeze and preserve food correctly to reduce waste and keep it fresh.
Qualification and Experience
• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management.
• 1 year relevant work experience.
• Experience in Indian cuisine is essential.
