The kindergarten paraprofessional plays a key role in supporting students' social, emotional, and/or academic needs both in the classroom and in small groups.
You will engage with students throughout the day while modeling and implementing school-wide behavioral expectations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Review and be familiar with students’ individual social, emotional and/or academic needs Implement lessons individually or in small groups under the direction of supervising educator Follow through on teacher directives or feedback and seek advice and support as needed Adjust student support in the moment to promote student independence Implement school-wide behavioral expectations Model appropriate behavior and reinforce as needed Maintain confidentiality Collect academic and/or behavioral student data Actively supervise students during transitions, lunch and recess, and assigned time blocks Utilize computer technology for tasks, as required Other responsibilities, as assigned by the building principal and/or classroom teacher
