SQL Server / SSRS Engineer

Our client seeking a strong SQL Server / SSRS Engineer to join their team in Mauritius.

Salary:

USD 900 1,100 Gross plus Accommodation and Travel expenses provided

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Develop, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards, and automated reports.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

Design and implement ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) where required.

Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.

Perform database backups, restores, disaster recovery testing, and maintenance activities.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all database systems.

Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop and maintain data models and database documentation.

Troubleshoot database and reporting issues, providing timely resolutions.

Support application development teams by creating efficient database objects and queries.

Implement role-based security for databases and SSRS reports.

Schedule and automate report generation and distribution.

Maintain compliance with organizational data governance and security policies.

Stay up to date with Microsoft SQL Server technologies and industry best practices.

Key Skills:

Proven expertise in SQL Server and SSRS.

Strong ability to work with complex application databases.

Experience developing reports based on business requirements.

Familiarity with 5 Series/Jobstream systems is advantageous.

Crystal Reports experience will be considered a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming.
