Assistant Project Manager - Data Center Electrical Construction

Location: Columbus, OH Regional travel as needed.Type: Full-time Non-ExemptAbout JSET Automated TechnologiesJSET Automated Technologies is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS) projects.

This role provides hands on exposure to real world construction and controls projects.The APM supports Project Managers with coordination, documentation, tracking, and communication across field teams, vendors, and construction partners to ensure projects remain accurate, organized, and on schedule.What You'll DoReview project plans and specifications with the project teamTrack subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources against project milestonesMaintain accurate project documentation in systems such as ProcoreUpdate project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and job costing logsAssist with material procurement and resource coordinationDraft, submit, and track RFIs to support timely resolutionAttend project meetings and document action items and follow-upsSupport schedule, budget, and forecast trackingWhat You BringBasic understanding of construction principles and terminologyFamiliarity with electrical, controls, or building systems preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, field driven environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Willingness to learn construction project management toolsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent1–2 years of construction, field support, or administrative experienceValid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sitesFlexibility to work extended hours during peak project phasesPreferred Qualifications2+ years of project support or Assistant Project Manager experienceExperience with Procore or similar construction management softwareAssociate's degree in construction management, engineering, or related fieldWork EnvironmentPrimarily field-based with limited office timeFrequent collaboration with field crews and project teamsUse of digital tools and technology throughout the workdayBenefitsCompetitive salary with bonus tied to project results401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and advancement opportunities in a growing fieldApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
