We are seeking a dedicated and organized Healthcare Coalition (HCC) Preparedness Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for hospitals, healthcare organizations, and coalition partners within the designated region. In this role, you will facilitate the achievement of emergency preparedness goals and objectives by identifying gaps, fostering collaboration, and coordinating resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between healthcare partners and emergency preparedness leadership. Communicate needs, challenges, and accomplishments regularly.

• Strategic Coordination: Work closely with regional public health partners to facilitate cross-program collaboration on preparedness efforts.

• Program Management: Establish program objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable plans. Develop, update, and monitor all policies and procedures related to the program area.

• Reporting & Compliance: Analyze, prepare, and disseminate monthly and annual program reports. Ensure all activities meet federal and state grant compliance requirements.

• Budgetary Oversight: Review program budgets and make recommendations to improve financial efficiency.

• Meeting Facilitation: Participate in relevant conference calls, staff meetings, and district coalition meetings; distribute coalition informatics and contact information.

• Corrective Action: Identify preparedness gaps and implement corrective action plans to address program challenges.

• Policy Interpretation: Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, and laws to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency and independence in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Analytical Ability: Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce practical solutions.

• Program Knowledge: Specialized knowledge in program subject matter, including pertinent rules, regulations, and relevant federal/state laws governing the program area.

• Leadership & Management: Working knowledge of accounting and budget principles. Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, manage workflow, provide constructive feedback, and coach/develop team members.

• This position is eligible for reimbursement of approved expenses.

Required / Desired Skills

• Prior experience facilitating and managing meetings within program agency and local partners, including maintaining meeting notes. Required - 2 Years

• Prior experience with public health or public safety emergency preparedness, identifying gaps as well as identifying appropriate resources and solutions. Required - 2 Years

• Prior experience tracking data and inventory, as well as completing reports and documents. Required - 2 Years

• Prior experience with emergency management, planning, training, and exercise support activities, as well as tracking grant deliverables and reporting. Required - 2 Years

• Flexibility and ability to multi-task and prioritize according to needs. Required - 2 Years

• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. Required - 2 Years

• Must possess working knowledge of and practical skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications Required - 2 Years

• Experience identifying and communicating training and support needs or activities of program. Required - 2 Years

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, will accept Public Health or Public Safety Experience as a substitute. Required - 1 Years
