Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Formwork to join our
dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and a passion for
building and repairing wooden structures and fixtures. You will work on a variety of projects,
from constructing frameworks to managing team members, ordering materials making sure that
all tasks are completed by allocated time frame.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project
requirements.
• Take precise measurements and calculate the size and number of materials needed.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to
measurements.
• A tradesperson who has enough tools to complete any carpentry task at hand.
• Complete high-quality work in an appropriate timeframe while being able to delight
clients.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Installing the subfloor and floorboards, and confirming the accuracy of the structures
• Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are
met.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum Cert 3 in carpentry /Formwork:
• Intermediate level; 5-8 years of site experience.
• Expert level: 15 years of site experience.
• Proven experience as a carpenter.
• Hands-on experience with carpentry materials and tools.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and
construction.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings, plans.
• Good physical condition and endurance.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
