As our organization continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced and collaborative **Remote Scrum Master** to help our teams deliver projects efficiently while promoting Agile best practices across the organization. This role will support cross-functional teams involved in technology, operations, digital initiatives, marketing, customer experience, and process improvement.
## Position Summary
The Remote Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove obstacles that impact team productivity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, department managers, and project teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered on schedule while maintaining high quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who excels at coaching teams, improving collaboration, managing priorities, and creating an environment where employees can perform at their highest level.
## Key Responsibilities
* Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
* Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement sessions, and other Agile ceremonies.
* Coach team members on Agile values, Scrum principles, and best practices.
* Remove blockers and obstacles that hinder project progress.
* Promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration across teams.
* Partner with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
* Monitor sprint goals, project milestones, and delivery timelines.
* Help teams estimate work, plan capacity, and improve sprint predictability.
* Track project progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint performance.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that increase efficiency.
* Coordinate with leadership to communicate project status, risks, and resource needs.
* Foster effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Support organizational change initiatives by encouraging Agile adoption throughout the company.
* Maintain project documentation and ensure Agile artifacts remain current.
* Encourage continuous learning, innovation, and team development.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Minimum of 3 years of Scrum Master or Agile project management experience.
* Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile, Lean, and Kanban methodologies.
* Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies for cross-functional teams.
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
* Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
* Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
* Familiarity with software development, digital transformation, or operational improvement projects.
* Experience in automotive, manufacturing, e-commerce, or service-based industries is a plus.
* Knowledge of project portfolio management practices.
