Senior Python/Java Developer

This role involves leading development efforts for Python and Java-based applications within cloud environments. The position will focus on designing and building scalable solutions, supporting data movement, and partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The senior developer will also provide mentorship to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development for Python and Java applications in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Design and construct scalable solutions using RESTful APIs and data integration patterns.

Support data movement and ETL processes through both file-based and API-driven methods.

Collaborate with teams to align technical solutions with business requirements and enterprise architecture.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.

Ensure solutions adhere to internal security, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Maintain a working knowledge of the technology stack to support technical inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of software development experience.

Technical Skills:

Hands-on development experience in both Python and Java.

Experience working within cloud environments, including AWS and/or GCP.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.

Experience with data movement and ETL processes.

Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced developers.

Problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience migrating legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

Exposure to enterprise architecture practices and governance frameworks.

Experience operating within regulated environments such as financial services or banking.
