Project Deployment Technician - Ac Power
Perform technical start-up and commissioning of large, high-profile orders utilizing Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Switchgear. Work independently on-site, reporting to the Supervisor, Site Leader, or Senior Project Start Up Engineer. Receive accelerated on-the-job training (OJT). Typical projects last 6-12 months.
What You'll Do
On-site and phone technical assistance to customers
Scheduled maintenance per company guidelines
Implement Field Change Notices
Stay current on Safety Bulletins and Service Tips
Performance
Maximize productivity by combining service opportunities
Make technical decisions under pressure
Meet on-site response time requirements
Lead by example with professionalism
Administration
Timely reporting: timecards, expenses, mileage, ticket closure
Maintain inventory and company property (vehicle, laptop, phone, PPE, test equipment)
Safety
Follow all published safety guidelines and PPE requirements
Report work-related incidents within 8 hours
Adhere to Fatigue Management policy
What You'll Need
Education & Experience
Technical/Undergraduate Degree or equivalent industry experience
Technical Skills
Read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints
Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment
Solid foundation in Ohm's Law and electronic theory
Basic fix/repair techniques
Site evaluation skills (environmental, operating conditions)
Troubleshooting Ability
Mechanical and tool aptitude
Computer & Tool Skills
Word processing, spreadsheets, email
Smartphone proficiency (apps, email)
Working Conditions

Valid driver's license required
Must pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check
On-call responsibilities possible
