Packaging Machine Operator

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for a contract to hire position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Columbus, OH.

This role supports all packaging activities within a manufacturing environment, including equipment sanitation, preparation of materials, and packing of finished products for shipment. The position requires adherence to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures, with a strong focus on teamwork to meet production and quality goals.

Responsibilities:

Stage preapproved repackaging material and equipment for production runs

Assist in operating packaging equipment, including minor troubleshooting

Repackage raw materials into finished products according to specifications and quality standards

Perform production room and equipment cleans/sanitation

Adhere to all cGMPs, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures

Maintain good housekeeping in work areas

Work with the operations team to meet or exceed quality and production goals

Partner with supporting areas, such as quality, to report production/quality issues

Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to compare product descriptions and labels

Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8-12 hours

Manual dexterity with hands

Ability to lift, handle, or push items weighing on average 25lbs, up to 35lbs

Basic mathematical skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Detail-oriented with the ability to use good judgment to carry out instructions

Must maintain appropriate attendance standards

Desired skills:

Previous experience as an assembler or on a production line

Pay range: up to $22.50 per hour
