Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Painter to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior residential spaces while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains a clean job site, and is committed to providing a professional experience for our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching small holes and cracks, caulking, and applying primer as needed.

Protect floors, trim, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces using masking tape, plastic, and drop cloths.

Apply paint, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.

Perform minor drywall repairs and surface preparation to ensure a smooth, professional finish.

Remove old paint or finishes by scraping, sanding, or stripping when necessary.

Remove and reinstall fixtures such as outlet covers, switch plates, door hardware, and light fixtures as needed.

Clean and maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas throughout each project.

Follow OSHA and company safety procedures while using ladders, power tools, and painting equipment.

Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site at all times.

Qualifications

1 to 3+ years of professional residential painting experience.

Experience with interior and exterior residential painting projects.

Strong knowledge of surface preparation, patching, caulking, sanding, and painting techniques.

Experience using brushes, rollers, and airless paint sprayers.

Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.

Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Manhattan.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail, excellent workmanship, and a positive attitude.

Required Certifications

OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
