Melting Operator

Melting Department Position

The Melting Department is responsible for supporting daily production operations by safely operating melting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Scope of Responsibilities

This role includes performing machine start-up and shutdown procedures, completing accurate production and downtime reporting, and following all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop-Call-Wait process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Achieving daily production targets and ensuring part quality meets customer requirements

Demonstrates all essential duties & responsibilities in Melting

Start-up and shutdown of melting machines

Complete accurate production and downtime reports with correct codes, reject quantity and descriptions

Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop-Call-Wait process

Maintain good housekeeping

Preferred Training/Experience

Flexibility to work in a hot environment

Ability and willingness to work any shift as needed

Willingness to work overtime at times with short notice

Forklift experience preferred
