Ground Crew Member / Tree Service Laborer

Job Description

Borris Tree Service is hiring a Ground Crew Member / Tree Service Laborer to join our team.

This is a hands-on outdoor position supporting tree removal, trimming, storm cleanup, and hazardous tree work. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person if they are dependable, hard-working, safety-minded, and willing to learn.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work and wants to learn the tree care industry from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Drag, stack, and chip brush

Help clean up jobsites after tree removal and trimming work

Load logs, limbs, tools, and equipment

Assist climbers, bucket operators, and equipment operators from the ground

Help set up and clean up ropes, cones, saws, and other equipment

Use rakes, blowers, saws, and basic hand tools

Follow directions from crew leaders

Maintain a safe, organized worksite

Work outdoors in different weather conditions

Follow company safety procedures at all times

Requirements

No tree service experience required, but it is a plus

Must be dependable and show up on time

Must be willing to work hard outdoors

Must be able to lift, carry, drag brush, and perform physical labor

Must be able to follow safety instructions

Must work well with a crew

Valid driver’s license required

CDL is a plus

Chainsaw, landscaping, construction, farm, military, or outdoor labor experience is a plus

Schedule

Work usually starts between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Shifts are typically around 10 hours, but can run later depending on the job, weather, and schedule.

Pay

Highly competitive pay based on experience.
