Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health, long-term care, assisted living, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report changes in condition.

Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA guidelines.

Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.

Support residents with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodegenerative conditions through specialized techniques.

Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment safely.

Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards.

Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for residents.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals on care plans and participate in team meetings for coordinated resident support.

Provide emotional support and companionship to promote well-being and social engagement.

Follow safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification, and emergency response actions.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments preferred.

Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities.

Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in medication administration is a plus.

Ability to lift heavy loads safely using proper manual handling techniques; physically capable of assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts if necessary.

Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor vital signs accurately.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.

Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents or clients.

Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; experience supporting seniors or geriatrics is advantageous.
