Process Automation Specialist
Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful African American owned IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop. We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.
We are seeking a motivated Process Automation Specialist to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and support Customer Contact Center objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience with application development, process automation, databases, and troubleshooting technology solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to enhance existing systems, develop automation tools, and provide ongoing support for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions using technologies such as Visual Studio, Pega, Microsoft Access, SQL Databases, VBA, and RPA tools.
Develop, code, unit test, debug, and deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
Troubleshoot application and automation issues and coordinate resolution with IT teams.
Review organizational requirements and evaluate the impact of changes on applications and systems.
Support technology implementations through validation testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-deployment verification.
Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and support materials.
Assist leadership in developing and executing test plans for technology enhancements.
Balance development, testing, implementation, and production support responsibilities.
Provide technical support for automation solutions and business applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Participate in after-hours, weekend, standby, and emergency support as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming, Management Information Systems, or related field; equivalent certification may be considered.
1–3 years of application development experience in a corporate environment.
Experience with software development using Visual Studio, SQL Databases, Microsoft Access, and automation technologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft 365 applications.
Experience supporting testing activities, including validation and post-implementation testing.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years of experience developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.
1–3 years of experience developing VBA applications.
Knowledge of Pega platform development.
Experience working in Call Center Operations environments.
Familiarity with Customer Information Systems (CIS) and/or Distribution Information Systems (Client).
LEAN and/or Six Sigma certification or experience.
Experience with process improvement methodologies and workflow optimization.
