Duties and Responsibilities:

•Designing, developing, and optimising mechanical components, equipment, and fabrication systems.

•Interpreting, preparing, and modifying technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications using CAD software.

•Overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and structural fabrication projects.

•Ensuring engineering designs and manufacturing processes comply with Australian Standards, safety procedures, and quality specifications.

•Providing technical support and collaborating closely with workshop fabricators, welders, and project managers.

•Identifying system or material deficiencies and implementing effective engineering solutions and modifications.

•Maintaining accurate engineering documentation, project reports, and compliance records.

Key requirements:

•A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (suitable for ANZSCO 233512 classification) or equivalent qualification.

•Proven experience in mechanical design, heavy fabrication, or the structural steel industry.

•Proficiency in modern CAD software and engineering calculation tools.

•A strong commitment to safety and engineering integrity is essential.

•A White Card or equivalent is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.

•Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills are a must.

•The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and possess strong communication skills.

•They may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
