POSITION SUMMARY
This position manages staff, budgets, and activities in one of several Resource-related areas, including but not limited to Operations Support, Exploration, Drilling Engineering, and Reservoir Modeling. Each position is responsible for coordination of personnel and project management with other management and technical staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees Resource team including geologists, geochemists, engineers, and support staff. This includes professional development, performance reviews, travel, etc.
Manages exploration, drilling, reservoir modeling, and/or Operations projects, ensuring that they achieve schedule and budget goals
Manages Resource staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Responsible for the coordination of personnel allocation
Coordinates projects and resources with other Resource Managers as well as Technical Advisors
Conducts project review meetings with each Project Geologist and/or Engineer to ensure timing, budget and studies meet project objectives as well as client expectations
Oversees Resource-related plans and activities, including data collection, surveys, analysis and documentation
Organizes and improves workflow
Develops and tracks metrics for evaluating and reporting progress, demonstrating goal achievements and success rates
Reviews and recommends activities to analyze reservoir properties, performance and projections
Develops and manages annual budget, reporting progress monthly to management
Ensures deliverables are reviewed and provided to management in a timely manner
Acts as liaison between Resource and intra-company partners such as Business Development, Operations, and Finance
Must be a leader in safety and health
Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s auto insurance carrier
Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner
Must have the ability to travel to other locations
Must be able to work weekends and holidays (or one or the other) when necessary
Proactively make recommendations based on data analysis and conceptual models
Effectively communicate results and recommendations to peers and management verbally and in writing. Verbal communication may be presentations, group meetings, or individually

Must have the ability to travel long distances by car and air
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology or closely related field required, Master’s Degree in same or MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management and budgeting preferred
Previous experience managing a team preferred
Strong interpersonal, coaching and team-building skills preferred
Must have strong organizational and time-management skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak both English and Bahasa at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
Must be able to present project goals, progress, and budget concisely to management
Proficiency or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of a variety of software applications for work process, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Project, Word, and Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and work outdoors in difficult weather conditions
The ability to walk, hike, and work on steep, rough terrain for extended periods of time on occasion
The ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road
The ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
The ability to periodically lift 50 lbs.
The ability to travel approximately 30% of time
The ability to work in an office environment
The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor for long periods of time and stay alert
