Job Title: ServiceNow ITAM Developer (Technical & Functional)

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced ServiceNow ITAM Developers to join our team in supporting enterprise-wide Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) initiatives. We have openings for both Technical and Functional professionals who can help design, implement, configure, and optimize ServiceNow ITAM solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, HAM, CMDB, and ServiceNow platform development, along with a strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and enterprise best practices.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow ITAM Implementation

• Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions.

• Implement and enhance Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) capabilities.

• Design and implement Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes across the complete asset lifecycle, from procurement through retirement and disposal.

• Configure software reclamation processes to identify and recover unused or underutilized software licenses.

• Support enterprise asset governance and optimization initiatives.

ServiceNow Development & Configuration

• Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using:

o Flow Designer

o Workflow Editor

o Business Rules

o Script Includes

o Client Scripts

o UI Policies

o UI Actions

• Develop and maintain Service Catalog items and Service Requests.

• Configure Import Sets, Data Sources, Transform Maps, Scheduled Jobs, Reports, and Dashboards.

• Support ServiceNow customization and platform enhancements.

CMDB & Discovery

• Maintain CMDB and Asset Management Database (AMDB) data quality and integrity.

• Analyze and reconcile asset data from Discovery, procurement systems, and multiple enterprise data sources.

• Implement Common Service Data Model (CSDM) best practices.

• Work with Discovery and inventory tools such as:

o ServiceNow Discovery

o SCCM

o BigFix

o ADDM

Integrations & Automation

• Design and implement integrations using REST APIs and SOAP APIs.

• Support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.

• Participate in automation initiatives to improve IT Asset Management processes.

Functional Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand Hardware and Software Asset Management requirements.

• Perform gap analysis and recommend scalable ServiceNow solutions.

• Support ITAM process improvements and governance initiatives.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and story refinement.

• Monitor ITAM metrics and recommend improvements to asset lifecycle processes.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of relevant IT experience.

• Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro).

• Experience implementing or supporting Hardware Asset Management (HAM).

• Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management lifecycle processes.

• Experience working on enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
