Senior Cloud Database Engineer (DB2 LUW / SQL Server / AWS)

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Database Engineer with deep expertise in Db2 LUW, SQL Server, and AWS to support enterprise database platforms, cloud modernization initiatives, high availability/disaster recovery solutions, automation, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

10+ years of Database Administration & Engineering experience

Db2 LUW 11.5+ (Linux)

SQL Server 2019+

AWS (RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, AWS Backup)

HADR, Pacemaker Clustering, Q Replication

SQL Server Always On Availability Groups

Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible

Database Migration, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery

Experience supporting mission-critical production environments

Preferred Skills

AWS Certifications

PostgreSQL

Kubernetes

Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog

Financial Services experience

What You'll Do

Manage and optimize enterprise Db2 LUW and SQL Server environments.

Design and support HA/DR solutions using HADR, Pacemaker, Q Replication, and Always On.

Lead AWS cloud database deployments and migration initiatives.

Automate infrastructure and database operations using Terraform and scripting.

Drive performance tuning, security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Serve as a technical SME and mentor for database technologies.
