Programmer/Analyst 3
The primary purpose of the Programmer/Analyst 3 classification is to provide technical support to increase agency employee's efficiency and productivity.
Job duties include responding to requests for reports from users to extract data as assigned, providing technical assistance to employees of the agency, troubleshooting and documenting hardware, software, and network problems and printer issues, developing reports to allow users to access information, creating database-stored procedures to be utilized by websites or other applications, creating applications based on project requirements, training and teaching users how to properly use computers, programs, and printers, developing data flow diagrams and documentation, maintaining, debugging, and modifying programs under direction, designing change modules and coding adjustments under direction, installing, upgrading, and repairing software and hardware on network servers, creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting active directory issues that are causing user problems, assisting with program testing and installation, assisting in developing network system enhancements, coordinating phases of production activity for one or more systems, providing communication on status of input and output reports within agency, coordinating issue assignment and resolution for issues requiring physical technician intervention, coordinating technicians on computer and user relocations, attending seminars and classes for advanced training, preparing weekly reports, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving network connection issues, preparing announcements pertaining to network outages and availability, and maintaining regular and predictable attendance. These duties are illustrative only and you may perform some or all of these duties or other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with three (3) years of help desk support experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional requirements include no special license or certification is required. Supervisory responsibilities none required.
